Elon Musk reacts to tweet on Chandrayaan-3 budget

This is not the first time that Musk reacted to a tweet about Chandrayaan-3. On Wednesday, the billionaire replied to a tweet that compared Chandrayaan-3’s budget to that of the movie Interstellar.

Interstellar, the 2014 release, had a budget of USD 165 million. The Christopher Nolan directorial starring Matthew McConaughey is still regarded as one of the most well-made Sci Fi films.

A Twitter user mentioned that India’s Chandrayaan-3 budget was USD 75 million which is way less than the film’s budget. Reacting to the tweet, Elon Musk had written, ‘Good for India’.

Reacting to the tweet, a user wrote that even though they love entertainment and Interstellar is one of their favourite films, humans should spend way less money entertaining themselves and much more in space exploration and understanding the universe. Another user wrote, “Well, India spent $75 million in INR ₹6.15 billion If the currency exchanges were equal, it is still more than 6 billion cost. It’s likely that by 2075 both currencies will be around equal INR 615 crore is a very big amount in India.”
