Author used ChatGPT to write over 100 novels in less than a year, sold over 500 copies

A science fiction author recently took advantage of AI tools, specifically ChatGPT, to bring his writing aspirations to life. In less than a year, he astonishingly managed to write almost 100 books using this AI tool, and the best part is that he earned a significant amount of money in the process.

As per New York Post, with the help of AI tools like ChatGPT and Anthropic’s Claude, Tim Boucher has created almost 100 novels, complete with illustrations.

His goal was simple, to make exciting ebooks that combine sci-fi with AI-generated worlds. Boucher calls these books the “AI Lore series” and believes they demonstrate the amazing possibilities of AI in boosting human creativity. In an article for Newsweek, he shared his enthusiasm for the potential of AI.

Boucher used AI chatbots and image generators to bring his stories to life. With their assistance, he could quickly come up with ideas and generate text, while also creating beautiful illustrations. Each of his books is around 5,000 words long and includes dozens of AI-generated images.

Unlike traditional authors who spend months writing, Boucher revealed that can finish a book in just a few hours. In fact, he revealed that he once finished writing a book using AI in less than three hours.Between August and May, he managed to sell over 500 copies of his stories, earning $2,000 in the process.
